Our CEO and co-founder, Harrison Tang, recently spoke with the LA Business Journal about work/life balance and his focus on family and gushed on about how much he loves his “little guy.” You can tell we all love family here and just a couple weeks after our rainy, yet absolutely awesome Spokeo Family Picnic, we once again hosted the youngest little members of the Spokeo team in our offices for our second-ever Spokeo Kids Day!
30 little Spokeans got to check out their parents’ day time digs and enjoy a little play time in the office. Kids Day participants each sported a custom Spokeo t-shirt and a name tag they got to personally decorate upon checking in. After posing in the family photo booth, and accessorizing at our balloon and temporary tattoo station, the littlest ones enjoyed floor mat activities, while the bigger kids participated in group activities like arts & crafts, bean bag toss, jumbo Jenga and jumbo ConnectFour. Our very cool teens and pre-teens took over the video game and ping pong areas, while some of the younger ones found delight in the ball and pillow rooms.
The morning fun flew by and before we knew it, it was time for everyone to gather together at the craft tables for boxed lunches. Following the yummy meal of kid-friendly sandwiches like PB&J and ham & Cheese, parents toured their kiddos around their personal work stations and then the kids headed back to daycare/nannies/home with a goody-filled gift bag in hand.
We absolutely loved hosting our families in our offices for the day and we’re sure our team members won “favorite parent of the week” for partaking. We hope the little ones got to understand just a bit more about what mommy and daddy do at work and we’ve inspired them to consider a career in technology in the future!
